KS1 Online Resources
At Round Hill, we subscribe to a number of fantastic online resources. These resources are used to engage and enthuse the children, as well as enhancing learning, both at home and school.
Bug Club Reading Programme
Bug Club is our core reading program to help children develop into confident and motivated readers. It combines over 500 finely levelled books with interactive eBooks and an online reading world. We allocate books every week to individual pupils for home reading. Click on the Bug Club Reading Programme link on the right hand side of the page for more information.
Guided Reading and Phonics Homework (spring term)
NumBots / Times Table Rock Stars (TTRS)
The NumBots resource is available for Year 1 and Year 2 and it is fantastic for developing the children’s number skills. Year 1 children are encouraged to participate in regular numbots practice as part of their weekly homework.
At this time, we are only encouraging the Year 2 children to use the Times Table Rock Star resource as this focuses on developing the children’s recall of the times tables. 4
Please note that your child’s username and password details can be found at the front of your child’s Reading Record. More information about Times Table Rock Stars can be found in the link on the right hand side of the page.
