My name is Lauren Barton, and I am the Curriculum Leader for Geography.

Geography is a fantastic subject that encompasses lots of different elements. Through Geography, children can explore the world and learn about different landscapes, environments and cultures. At Round Hill, we seek to encourage our children to be curious, and we use Geography to inspire them to find out about the world they live in and get to know their local area too.

At Round Hill we teach Geography through our topic. We also run practical sessions in our wild area where we give children the opportunity to experience fieldwork: making and reading maps, investigation and compass skills.
