Ramadan
If your child will be fasting in the period of Ramadan we would like to work with you to make sure we look after your child’s welfare in the best way we can. During the period of Ramadan we would appreciate it if you could let us know your child will be fasting and if there is anything we can do to help support you and your child.
Be aware that it is the accepted view of health professionals that fasting prior to the age of eight years is not advisable and therefore SACRE advises School Leaders to support observance of the fast only for Year 5 and 6.
